Our Neighborhood Partners: Bringing Local Learning to Life
Two Smart Dogs has been teaming up with the Brentwood Whole Foods Market to bring the best in local learning to life. We’ve partnered with great neighborhood class providers like Brentwood Art Center and Chefs, Inc. to present community learning events for children and adults.
Make a Mask
On September 8, 2007, Two Smart Dogs and Brentwood Art Center joined Whole Foods Market and SCORE! Education Center to welcome kids back to school with a Learn-by-Doing event. Art instructors from the Brentwood Art Center’s kids’ program led a mask-making class. Two Smart Dogs CEO & Founder, Rose Ors, along with marketing staff from Whole Foods, joined in the fun.

Kids were invited to make their own masks.

Hands-on Gourmet with Chefs, Inc.

On October 4, 2007, Two Smart Dogs and Whole Foods Market hosted a Make Your Own Dim Sum class at the Brentwood Whole Foods store. Diane Brown from Chefs, Inc. taught students to make shrimp cakes, Japanese beef skewers and chicken pot stickers. The smell and look of it all drew curious customers into the Brentwood store.
Chef Diane was back by popular demand on Feburary 8, 2008, for another Learn-By-Doing event at Whole Foods Market, hosted by Two Smart Dogs and Whole Foods. Chef Diane, author of The Seduction Cookbook: Culinary Creations For Lovers, offered a free lesson on making and eating (& eating) chocolate desserts. Diane was joined by Amy Reilly, author of Fork Me, Spoon Me: The Sensual Cookbook.
