Probably half or more of the SNL cast has come from the Groundlings. That’s a great record. Starting with Laraine Newman who was in the original cast, and including Will Ferrell, Chris Kattan, Jon Lovitz, Phil Hartmann, Julia Sweeney, Will Forte… I can’t remember all of them right now. The current cast has several in it. It’s the best place to learn improv and be part of the future of comedy. Also - many of the TV shows over the past 15 years were written by ex-Groundlings, including “Cheers” “The Simpsons” “Ellen” “According to Jim” etc. A great training ground for all things related to comedy.

How would you like to do a three to five part series about the Groundlings, from its early days to what the group is doing now? Could be quite interesting and informational.
