A large part of the appeal of Magic 1 at The Academy of Magical Arts, Inc. is the atmosphere. The Academy’s clubhouse is “The Magic Castle,” a dormered Victorian house formerly known as the Lane mansion. A dress code is enforced for classes: coat and tie for men, and dresses or skirts for women. The Academy states, “Our goals and objectives are to advance the art and promote a positive image of magic and magicians worldwide.”
