In case your local landscape no longer inspires you to paint, the Art Trek company offers a nine-day watercolor painting trip to Tahiti and Huahine islands in French Polynesia. There are two excursions on the books for 2008: one from July 17-27, coinciding with the Heiva Polynesian dance festivities, and one from August 7-17.

Participants in the painting workshop will visit the Botanical Gardens, Gauguin Museum, and the black pearl and flower markets in Papeete. All skill levels are welcome.
