How does the search feature work?
On Two Smart Dogs class providers cannot buy their way to the top of search results. Our search algorithm ranks search results on two criteria—relevance and reviews. Relevance means that you get the class providers that fit your search criteria (for example, ballet classes in zip code 90027). Reviews means that those providers who fit your search criteria and have reviews appear first on search results.
Who gets the green star?
Two Smart Dogs gives its green star to class providers that have gone the extra mile to provide you with additional information through the “Showcase” feature. Click on the Showcase tab in the provider’s profile to see photos, videos and information on featured classes and events. Class providers pay an annual fee for the Showcase.

Reviews
What makes for a great review?
Our goal is to help people find classes and instructors that are right for them. Often, classes aren’t simply good or bad; they’re good or bad for you or your child for specific reasons. That’s why the best reviews are the most detailed ones. They offer context, suggestions and specifics about why a class was bad, good or exceptional. Great reviews often mention unique qualities that make the class special or suggest the type of person who might like this class (for example, a drawing class was too basic for you, but your experience tells you that it would be a great class for a true beginner!).
Can I review a class provider that I work for?
Yes. As long as you’ve taken classes there and you disclose your relationship in your review (you may be both a teacher and a student).
Does Two Smart Dogs remove reviews?
Sometimes. We may remove a review (and will email the writer to let them know) when we are made aware of certain situations including:
- Disclosure problems. For example, if you claim that a business owner is not qualified to teach a subject, you need to explain your statement.
- Personal attacks. You can tell us your gripes about a bad experience with a provider but make the information helpful to other users. Personal attacks have no place here.
- Second-hand experiences and hearsay. Your reviews must be about your personal experiences, not about what you may have heard.
- Slurs, stereotypes, obscenities. Keep it clean, decent and constructive, please.
We also monitor reviews to avoid review "spam."
